JAMES MENDELSOHN | Managing Director
James Mendelsohn is an experienced advisor and operator in financial services. His career has focused on small business lenders, payment processors, merchant acquirers, investment funds, go-to-market strategies, and capital transactions. Working in partnership with FIS Worldpay, he launched Liberis Finance and has since advised countless lenders, payment processors, and factoring companies.
James has held leadership roles at several firms, most notably at Capital One, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy. There, he led several strategy efforts across the credit card, banking, and financial services lines of business. James also served as the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer for CAN Capital, a non-bank provider of financing to small businesses, and at McKinsey's Marketing & Sales practice, where he advised global candidates in the financial services sector.
James graduated with an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Maryland. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an NSF Fellow.
